Xbox 360 extender support for Vista ETA?
« on: December 27, 2009, 04:05:51 AM »
Hi guys,

First thank you so much for a great product!!

I have been an OML fan since version .21b - and I just installed v4.0.0.0 (1776 per OML menu in MC)  Anyway the new UI is awsome!!  But the main thing I need is XBOX support, I have vista WMC.  I used to use transcode 360 with the .21b version of OML, but that no longer works, and your built in transcoding also doesn't seem to work.  I am trying to play simple AVI (XVID).

First were some errors stating the file could not be found, or format was not valid "\\server\drive\...\AllDisks_-2123213.wvx" - but after I shared the folder from my HTPC "..\TempplayList" to "Everyone" & then also shared my AVI file directory I no longer get that error.

Now i just hear a sound and nothing happens.  I have attached logs.  But I think you are already aware of the isue, and just curious when you anticipate the next release to fix it.  In the mean time I will have to roll back to the previous release i had until this gets fixed.   :'(  Thanks again for such a great product - can't wait to use the new UI once the XBOX support gets fixed.

note: I was getting the following error from the log, but ran the command suggested and it fixed the error, so this isn't the issue anymore.

OMLEngineService.exe Information: 0 : 12/26/2009 8:14:41 PM [4#], StartService
(Source=OMLEngineService, Type=OMLEngineService.TranscodingService): System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: The TransportManager failed to listen on the supplied URI using the NetTcpPortSharing service: failed to start the service because it is disabled. An administrator can enable it by running 'sc.exe config NetTcpPortSharing start= demand'.. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot start service NetTcpPortSharing on computer '.'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it

We are in the process of getting a new build out that addresses transcoding issues.
