New Years silence?
« on: January 13, 2010, 01:09:47 PM »
I'll be the first to say it in these dusty OML forums. Happy New Year! to the OML Team.
It's now 13th Jan (down under) and there ain't many posts stamped 2010 yet.
As much i have been tempted to move to mymovies or Mediabrowser 2.2.1.0, one thing is stopping me. OML 0.3b! Pre SQL.
Yes, this is the only Movie based solution that allows non transcoding of VIDEO_TS / VOB based DVD's to extenders. It actually works and works well.
I am an end user who doesn't have the knowhow or time to Compile the latest code with extender support, so i have to wait for Extender support in 0.4 releases.
I am also hanging out for MSBOB to work some Graphic design magic into 0.4 (Please put transparency high on the list). Actually, i could make a wish list but i know the guys had a lot planned, but as an end user, i'm getting impatient, afterall it's 2010!

Perhaps OML is going away?  I hope not as it has been great and I still use the older build before .4 SQL versions so I can use with my extenders for movies.. ..though there are some new boxes released at CES recently that play most media now over the network BUT it is nice for OML to me integrated with WMC.

Happy New Year to all!

Ya I know we have been pretty quiet. We have also taken a loooong time to put a new release out. Thats just the way it goes sometimes. Personally I had to spend more time than I liked working over the past few months.

Not goiing away, just other things get in the way sadly. Ironically I had more spare time when I was working than now while I am out of work. I'm studying hard to improve my skills and hopefully make myself more employable.

Wow, the Builds are up to 1933 yet the public accessible build is 1798. Thats a huge gap and never happened in the 0.3 daily builds.

It is due to release quality. Personally I'm not willing to push a build out that will break your environment.

Hi,

Again I think that it's worth waiting for a better result.
Thanks for your efforts.
